Music, Dance, Theater, Art. A summer of possibilities. A place for everyone, the painter, the poet, the dancer, the dreamer. That is what 2nd Moon Summer Arts Camp is all about. The Borough of Steelton, in partnership with Jump Street, has developed a summer arts camp for young people ages five to twelve. Campers are involved in a variety of artistic activities in the performing, literary, and visual arts, allowing the students to explore their creativity with their peers in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. The format is exciting and diverse, rich with wonderful opportunities for campers to explore and expand their creativity. Music, Drama, Visual Arts, Dance/Movement, and Recreation are incorporated into this very special inter-disciplinary program to develop ideas, explore themes, and create performances. Taught by trained artists/educators, 2nd Moon Summer Arts Camp is a program that encourages children to exercise their imagination and freely express themselves in a supportive and enriching environment. Indoor and outdoor spaces are used to experiment, create, explore, discover, and have fun through the arts. |
