After a nearly 40 year history of innovation and service, the organization that has been know as the People Place, Harrisburg Metro Arts, Metro Arts of the Capital Region and Jump Street, is coming home.
Partnering as we did in the beginning, with Harristown, we have opened our new offices and program center at 21 S. 3rd Street, in the heart of the revitalized SoMA neighborhood.
Jump Street has well-established programming throughout Pennsylvania and this move represents a new dedication and commitment to programs in Harrisburg and our immediately surrounding communities. Instead of a single multipurpose facility, we will be implementing a hub and satellite strategy. With this approach our headquarters on 3rd St will be integrated with project centers that partner with community agencies in those neighborhoods. This will increase community access to Jump Street’s arts and cultural programs, technical assistance, entrepreneurial training, and to continuing to further our mission of connecting artists and community.
